How do you build a fiberglass subwoofer box for a 15 inch subwoofer or a box made or wood?

First start with a drawing of the box. This way you can change things on paper insted of wasting the material your using. For fiberglass you will need to build a mold for the box, and the fiberglass sprays on much like paint. Or you can mix it and brush it in. It will take a long time to make it, as you have to build up layers of fiberglass. And you have to put layers of fabric in it to give it strength. Your much better off going with wood, and more specific, MDF, or medium density fiberboard, for a 15″ you would probably want 1/2″ to 3/4″ thickness. You should also check the manual for the sub as it will need specific amount of cubic feet to sound the best. I have 2 Eclipse 15’s and they each need 6 cubic feet of space, and you must allow for the area of the speaker inside the box. So I would benifit from a 14 cubic foot box. To detiremine the cubic feet needed, multiply the width x height x depth and divide it by 1728 ( standard cubic foot, 12 x 12 x 12=1728). You will also need to probably port the box, so add that into your drawing. Do the drawing to scale, like 1/4″ on paper = 1 real inch, this way you can use the 1/8″ for 1/2″ and the 1/16 for 1/4″. so it can be pretty accurate. Use a fine tooth saw to cut the mdf, otherwise it may become ragged on the edges. Start at the bottom and assemble up, i.e bottom, sides, port, back, then the top, I would recommend speaker terminals for a nice look or just drill a hole for the wire. where the sub(s) screw into the box I would actually put two pieces there to give the sub a very stable mounting area. Use screws to assemble the box, not nails, and drill a small pilot hole for the screw so you do not split the MDF. Then use a sealer inside on all the joints. Then you could paint it or put carpet or whatever on it. The best box you can make would be out of plexiglass, for the 15″ I would go with probably inch thick, it has excellent sound quality and beats any other material. Hope this answers your question.
